A note from our Founder
I received my security clearance at 18 and spent my early career working in classified labs as an engineer in the defense industry. About seven years ago, I founded Telescope Defense, and became our Facility Security Officer (FSO) so we could operate under a facility clearance.
I've seen the security side of this world from every angle — as a cleared employee, an engineer, a founder, and an FSO.
I created ChatDoD because I know how security actually works on the ground. In classified labs, we rarely ask security first. We ask the person next to us. We ask whoever’s been around the longest. Asking the security team is usually a last resort.
And I’ve seen the consequences of that firsthand. I know two smart, capable colleagues who lost their jobs over minor security violations. Not because they didn’t care about security, but because they didn’t have the right answers when they needed them. Their companies enforced zero-tolerance policies to protect their facility clearances. And it cost them great employees.
ChatDoD is built to prevent that.
